On Monday morning I popped in and met Nic Baykaa-Murray who we’ve been sending emails to. I took some photos of the school and the kids there, and the St Peters kids are going to email photos of themselves to Otford.

I visited a school near Birmingham called St Huberts and they’re right into looking after the environment. They’ve set up a partnership with a school in India and some of the teachers are just about to fly to India to see the school they’ve been emailing.
Balsall Common Primary is doing amazing things with technology. They have spent a lot of time planning things carefully and even get the kids to write letters to companies, asking for prizes for competitions they run on their very own radio station. We spent a lot of time talking about different websites and fun applications like an animation package and some really cool cameras designed for younger children. I had a brilliant day there with Christian Hilton who manages their computers and we plan to set up some links between the schools.

Today I spent the first of a couple of days talking to people in Wolverhampton about how they’ve introduced a system for year 5 & 6 kids to have their very own PDA. Google PDA to see what it is or have a look at the photo. It’s pretty impressive what they’re doing. They also have eBooks so kids can read books on their PDA as well as do the usual things like take pictures, create presentations, write documents, etc. It’s a bit similar to the laptop programs in the US but a lot cheaper.

Everyone I’ve met everywhere has been really nice and that’s been the best part of this trip around the world. I hope that some of them will one day make it to Australia so that I can look after them too.

Avalon,Hannh,Josh.c and I had a southern stars aoudition yesterday (20.06.07). It was so much fun and when we were comeiing back mum and I saw a wave crash on a cliff and spry all the way up it looked so cool.

My dad showed me how the scanner works! And Im the only one in the class who knows how to use it! my group only uses it for scanning our information onto the website. Hannah and I's disco is finally working out. And also we're singing and dancing there! And we get our own solo songs! Mrs Boad Bridge is still nice. I dont know how she could manage us! Hehe.
Any way where are you going next?! Is it nice in London and can you ask for a penpal for me i still havent got one? Do you have any more photos of bucking ham palace? It must be really interesting there. I can't believe the research group is almost over! Its been soo much fun! And can you bring the whole class souvenirs? Or if not the whole class just me?! Those PDA things are cool! Can we get some? My mums got one but it keeps going flat all the time! Kate thinks our school is the best! So do I! and probably the rest of the class too!

It has ben raining for a week wouts the weather like in London. The school has bean playing under the cola. every won is seeing how can jump the fotherest throw the puddles. The seniors ar playing hand ball under the cola. My group has finish the webpages that Had to be don. We have bean Blogging every day thats possible. Every one hopes to blogg saw we get to gow on the computer. we tip for ever and find ate about wot you doing. in library we do mesurement is the same english is the same Maths is the same. on Friday we don't usally do sport. we have gotow do all of the spelling, Maths and English are all the same as usall. It would be hard to read all of the bloggs in a month.

Hi to all your pupils at Otford! I enjoyed checking out your website. When I was in year 6 in 1984, my school camp was to Otford!! I went to Lindsay Park PS in West Wollongong. Anyhoo, must get back to it.
